Intellectual Discovery (ID), a leading intellectual property (IP) investment firm led by co-CEOs Sangcheol Yoon and Seoin Kim, announced on the 9th that it successfully hosted the “2025 AI×Patent: The Intersection of Innovation” event at Lotte Tower in Jamsil, Seoul, on the 3rd. The event, attended by over 150 participants from government, academia, and industry, explored ways to connect AI technology with IP-based investment strategies. In their opening remarks, co-CEOs Yoon and Kim emphasized that “as AI adoption accelerates, IP-centric investment strategies are becoming more crucial,” while congratulatory speakers highlighted the need to build a collaborative AI-IP ecosystem. ID Vice President Dongseok Bae presented an IP-based investment strategy aimed at fostering the AI ecosystem and outlined a vision for Korea to emerge as a global AI leader. Other speakers, including Hajime Shirasaka, patent attorney and CEO of AI Samurai, shared insights and strategies on the convergence of AI and patents across various fields such as semiconductors, healthcare, and IP analysis and automation. In addition, a book written by patent attorney Hajime Shirasaka and translated by patent attorney Eungu Kim of Yuil Highest was planned to be distributed to the lecture attendees, drawing considerable interest.
